Stephen Wiley

Stephen Wiley has been in North Carolina politics for a decade, starting out as a grassroots volunteer and legislative aide before rising to be one of the most successful legislative campaign operatives in the nation.

Wiley worked at the North Carolina General Assembly for Rep. Jason Saine and as the House Finance Committee Clerk from 2016 to 2018. Wiley then moved to the political arm of the North Carolina Republican House Caucus (NCRHC) in 2018, where he coordinated Direct Mail and Digital Ads for more than 20 campaigns.

In 2019 Wiley took over as Caucus Director for NCRHC, gaining a net of four seats in 2020 and an additional two seats in 2022.

Wiley has directed over $17 million in spending, winning 80% of swing races. In 2022 Wiley was responsible for Republican victories in ten seats won by Joe Biden, the second best record nationally.

What They’re Saying

Rep. Jason Saine, Senior Chair of NC House Appropriations Committee, NCRHC Conference Chair

Stephen Wiley has an acumen for North Carolina politics that is unmatched. He’s able to understand complex political data and more importantly, correctly interpret the actions that need to be taken to generate success at the ballot box.

Rep. Kristin Baker, Chair of NC House Health Committee

As a newcomer to the pursuit of campaigning, I realized early on that Stephen Wiley was the advocate I needed. He artfully balanced a clear recognition of who I am, with an experienced and nuanced ability to illuminate the strategy of reaching my electorate. He was the perfect teammate, essential in my efforts to achieve the name recognition and messaging critical to my successful outcome.

Rep. John Szoka, Former Senior Co-Chair of NC House Finance Committee, NCRHC Conference Chair

As the NC House Republican Conference Leader I worked daily with Stephen Wiley in planning, directing and supervising House election campaigns in tough, toss-up districts over three election cycles. Stephen has the unique ability to analyze vast quantities of data, figure out what's important, and what's not, and then apply that knowledge to each candidate's campaign.   A master of his craft, he put together campaigns that consistently won seats.
